The Mediterranean is well known for its long warm dry summers and short mild winters with pleasant springs and autumns with an average of 300 days a year of sunshine. In July and August the temperatures are high with on average over 12 hours of glorious sunshine per day. The Mediterranean coast is mild all year round and the Costa Calida enjoys warm water, during the summer the sea reaches temperatures of over 20 degrees.

With average temperatures ranging from 16 degrees centigrade in winter to 32 degrees centigrade in summer providing excellent healthy living conditions. The clean mountain and sea air is highly recommended.

Remember that the Spanish sun during the summer months can be very strong especially during the hours of midday to three o clock, remember to apply plenty of high factor protection, sunbathing is recommended towards the later of the afternoon.

The seasons of the Costa Calida all have something special to enjoy, in spring and autumn the cooler air is cooler making it an ideal climate for exploring the city of Murcia or the town of Lorca as well as the smaller neighbouring villages and towns, not forgetting the National Parks of the Murcian Region. During the winter months its not unusual to find a suntrap in your garden or on your roof terrace to catch some winter rays. Did you know that you can ski in the south of Spain, the Sierra Nevada Mountains range located in Granada, amazing to think that you can ski in the morning on one of the 48 pistes, golf in the sunshine in the afternoon or relax on one of the many beaches along the Costa Calida.
